We prepare and review your student visa file for the Italian consulate — proof of funds, enrollment letter, accommodation evidence — and prepare you for the appointment.
You have eight days from landing to file your permesso di soggiorno. We make sure it's filed correctly and on time, and get you enrolled and settled at the academy.
You attend ITS Academy classes toward your EU-recognised trade certification while working up to 20 hours a week under your study permit — legally earning while you train.
On graduation, we help you convert your study permit into a work permit — using the out-of-quota advantage available to ITS Academy graduates, so you are not competing in the Decreto Flussi Click Day.
Once you hold a work permit and meet the income and housing requirements, we handle the Family Reunification process to bring your spouse and children to join you in Italy.
ITS Academies (Istituti Tecnici Superiori) are Italy's post-secondary vocational institutes, built around the trades the Italian economy is short on — mechatronics, electrical systems, construction, hospitality, and more. Programmes run roughly two years and combine classroom training with substantial hands-on placement.
Graduates receive a qualification recognised across the European Union — not just a local Italian certificate. This matters if you ever want to work in another EU country, and it carries real weight with Italian employers who know exactly what an ITS diploma means.
ITS Academies are built in partnership with local employers and trade associations who need graduates. National placement data consistently shows the large majority of ITS graduates in employment within a year of finishing — most in the exact trade they trained for.
Holders of an Italian study permit are entitled to work part-time — up to 20 hours per week, or 1,040 hours across the year — without needing a separate work permit. Most of our students use this to work directly in their trade: a plumber apprentices with a plumbing firm, a mechanic works part-time in a garage. It's income while you train, and often the first relationship with the employer who later sponsors your work permit.
The Decreto Flussi route is capped by an annual quota and decided by Click Day — a small window, oversubscribed every year. Non-EU nationals who complete a recognised course of study or professional training in Italy, including an ITS Academy programme, can convert their study permit directly into a work permit outside that quota system. You are not competing for one of a limited number of slots — you simply need a job offer and to meet the conversion requirements at the point of graduation.
